  20.  I had a problem kind of like this - the early startup menu would state that
  21.  the drives available were df0:, 1:, 2: and 3:, but it would refuse to read
  22.  disks from either the internel or external drive.

  24.  My solution wasn't a very technical one - I cursed and hit the computer till
  25.  one day it worked. I think it might have been a power problem, as at the time
  26.  I was running the computer off a 200W supply for the drives, and the C= brick
  27.  for the motherboard. Conflicting supplies you see.

  37.  Just open the case, rip the sheilding off and take the ribbon cable and the
  38.  4-pin power connector off, and then there is one screw on a bracket at the
  39.  front, and 2 on the back of the case, underneath. You could try seeing if an
  40.  external drive works, if not there is a good chance that it is the
  41.  controller. Find a friendly soldering-wizard, and buy a new controller.
